FOH Supervisor / Customer Experience Manager

Responsible for creating a welcoming, safe, and clean environment for all diners


The FOH Supervisor is responsible for creating a welcoming environment for all students, faculty, and staff who dine in the cafeteria. They work alongside the Registered Dietitian (RD) and Lead Cook to ensure all menu items are adequately labeled, including all allergens. Additionally, the FOH Supervisor works with the Cafe Supervisor to ensure that retail items are labeled correctly, prepared safely, and presented effectively. A major focus of the FOH Supervisor is to ensure that students and faculty receive superb customer service. The FOH Supervisor must possess excellent troubleshooting skills and knowledge of POS systems.

Essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensure an extremely clean and sanitary cafeteria
  • Work with design team to ensure menus are created properly and displayed per HCF standards
  • Provide support to cashiers and cafe staff for breakfast and lunch service
  • Responsible for all end of the day procedures
  • Build and maintain ongoing relationships with students, faculty and staff
  • Ability to follow-up and obtain feedback from students, faculty and staff * Ability to present a flexible attitude and stellar customer service at all times
  • Involved in the ordering process
  • Plan and participate in foodservice committees, including menu development
  • Thorough knowledge of expiration calendar as well as excellent attention to detail
  • Work alongside lead cook to complete monthly inventory


  • Food Handlers Certification
  • Basic food prep knowledge
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Self-starter and team player
  • Knowledge of sanitation and food-safety practices
